I ran an emergency system check late Friday night. My human had taken me out to the garden for the last toilet run of the day when I stumbled and fell over some root or something in one of the flower beds. Because I was running so fast, I tumbled and rolled several times before landing in some soft ferns. The automatic emergency puppy cries started almost instantly, before the world had even stopped spinning.
At first I didn’t know where the sound came from, but by the time I realized it was coming from my own muzzle, my human had already scooped me up and carried me inside for a check up. Turns out nothing was broken but I still made a big show of whimpering and limping so they would cuddle me some more. Needless to say, the emergency systems worked just fine but my paw is still a bit sore and I limp a little. If its not better by tomorrow we’re off to the vets again…
