Monday Mischief – Getting a Taste for Peanut Butter!

by Alfie Entlebucher on February 20, 2012

I’m a dog who takes my duties very seriously. I guard the house, my humans and my toys. I keep an eye on the food in the kitchen and I always herd surrounding humans and dogs into nice little groups when we go walkies.

So when I was asked to ‘help out’ making some peanut butter dog treats in the kitchen I got to work straight away.

Waiting for the peanut butter filling to arrive...

Well, the dough and the peanut butter LOOKS good...but I think I better taste it to be sure

I'm only testing the quality!

The finished peanut butter parcels...

Well, what did she expect asking me to pose for a photo next to the second best thing to bananas? I love peanut butter! I don’t this counts as real mischief, what do you think? Oh, and if you’re curious about the recipe, you can check out the peanut butter treats here.

My person says when you make cookies the best part is getting to eat some of the dough – so I don’t see how this could even be considered mischief.

I don’t think its mischief either – and the dough tasted so good!

Thanks Sugar – I might just join your bloghop this week! My human is usually too lazy to bake any cookies but this week I’m in luck *waggy tail*

I know – what human in their right mind placed cookies near a dog’s nose to take a photo? *waggy tail*

Good going, but something tells me that only doing it to pose for the camera is cheating. You need to get to stealing things you shouldn’t have taken for it to be real mischief. Can you write ‘marzipan’ on the shopping list. Make sure your shopper gets the good stuff that is 50% almond. I promise you’ll have a new favourite.

I’m not entirely sure my human’s idea of a cute photo of the dog and his biscuits involved me eating half the dough – but she should have known what would happen! I have already discovered marzipan – the human had some in their Christmas Chocolate and it smelled gooood! *waggy tail*

It just looks like you’re doing a great job at quality assurance to me!

Well you have to taste them to make sure that they are edible for everyone else, and you have to have a big bite to make sure you have enough flavor in your mouth to judge:)

Hey Alfie, Jet here.

I totally support you, dude. If you were in reach of the treats, quality control (Q.C.) is a MUST.
