Monday Mischief – Alfie and the Lions at the Tower of London

by Alfie Entlebucher on January 2, 2012

Monday Mischief LogoIts a new year and time for new Monday Mischief! I can’t wait to read what all you puppies out there have been up to over the Christmas break! Here’s to a Happy New Year full of Mischief and Waggy Tails!

Alfie and the Lions

What would you say if I told you I saved my humans from a pride of lions? What if I told you it happened in central London, right in the middle of hundreds of tourists during the festive season?

Sound a bit far fetched?

That’s exactly what I thought until I found myself nose to nose with the wild beasts by the Tower of London. I realised I had two choices, flight or fight. I’m not an Entlebucher Mountain Dog for nothing, so I decided to hold my ground and protect the pack. As you can see in the video I made a big impression on the lions and they left us alone for the time being.

Then afterwards, when everyone was safe and sound, drinking tea in the living room I’m told they wish I wouldn’t bark so much when I’m out and about. What? Sometimes my humans are just two ungrateful two legged beasts of prey *waggy tail*

What mischief have you been up to this holiday?

Aww, way to go Alfie! You tell those big old lions!

A bunch of us dog-loving friends were telling stories last night about how our dogs have mistaken inanimate objects for real live dangers as well. In fact, I’d rather they be big and brave with things that can’t hurt them than with things that can. ;)

Very cute.

Sometimes our people just don’t appreciate what we do for them. I think you did a great job protecting your people from those lions.

Priceless!!! Good Job, Alfie. You’ve once again proven what a brave doggy you are.

Don’t worry about your humans. They just don’t want other people to get attracted to your awesomeness ^.^

Alfie,

I had no idea quite how brave you are Dude!! I bet my family wish I was as brave as you!! I admit I have been known to hide behind Mum’s leg – but lets just keep that between ourselves, right?! :)

Great job,

Your pal Snoopy :)
