Woof and welcome to my second dog photography lesson *waggy tail*
You might remember that I’ve had a serious talk with my human about the photos on my blog, and last week we looked at some of the most common mistakes in dog photography. I think we managed that part quite well (!) and we’re now ready to move on to some fun tips!
To take good dog photos you really need three things. The basic ingredients are a cute looking dog (that’s easy!) and a camera. Most humans manage that part quite well, but then comes the tricky bit – how do you get the woofing dog to sit still long enough to take a good photo? That’s when the third ingredient comes in handy – a pinch of imagination!
This week I’m inspired by the clever wild life photo traps set by the National Geographic . But don’t worry, we’re not going to photograph tigers and lions – just good looking doggies doing their thing. You don’t even have to go anywhere, you can do this in your living room or back garden.
How to set a Dog Photo Trap
What does your dog like to do more than anything else? Could he resist an open door into the bedroom, or an unattended slice of ham on the floor? What about a toy or tasty treat hidden in a pile of leaves?
If you think ahead and set the trap, you will be able to capture some really fun action shots of your dog. My human raided my toy basket and found a toy I hadn’t played with for a while and set a cunning trap in the garden…
One more thing – when you have that perfect shot in the bag, don’t forget to celebrate and let me know how you get on! *waggy tail*
