Me? No, I’m not that into Mischief Anymore.

February 4, 2013 By Alfie Entlebucher 12 Comments

How long does it take to train the Perfect Human?

Those of you who have followed my blog for a while know that I have been in the process of training my humans since the day they brought me home.

I’m not going to lie to you – its been real hard work to get them to see things my way, but I think I can finally say that at least one of my humans has now been fully trained and can be declared a fully fledged Entlebucher Mountain Dog Slave.

Let me explain.

No More Mischief? Really?

I overheard my human chatting to Bella’s human the other day. It went something like this:

‘Sometimes its difficult to come up with something to write about on the blog every week.’Bella’s human said.

‘I know, and especially the Monday Mischief posts – Alfie’s not really doing all that much mischief anymore.’ My human replied.

‘What are you on about – he vomited in your bed the other day, and he’s been sneaking into your bedroom almost every night of this week. And what about the macaroni cheese that he stole off the counter top, or the….’

Bella’s humans voice trailed off as I searched eye contact with my human. She honestly looked completely dumbstruck and that’s when I knew I have finally got here right where I want her.

She nolonger notices my mischief – its been accepted as the norm! *pawsome*

Then I just grinned and winked at Bella.

See that lil sis?

This is history in the making.

This is the moment when I, Alfie Entlebucher, after two years and four months of hard work, declare my human as a fully trained Entlebucher Mountain Dog assistant – oblivious to mischief, and with pockets full of treats.

The world is my oyster.

How is your ‘human training going pups?

Alfie, my man, you are my HERO! No matter what I do the Mama seems immune to my charms and rarely ever turns a blind eye to my mischief. You’re a lucky dog. A lucky dog indeed.

Great job Alfie – You Rock!

I’m doing pretty well with training my Mum, she’s a quick learner and even takes the blame when Dad sees any mischief, however, Dad’s a bit slower – still some work to do on him, but I won’t give up!! Tee Hee

Keep up the great work buddy,

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂

You certainly have your people trained! Made us realize there is a lot of weirdness around here too that now passes as normal. 🙂

I had it pretty easy since my sister and her predecessor had already worked mom over pretty well. I am also only half their size so she feels the need to be easier on me…I get away with most everything, so I would say that mom is also trained. Congratulations to you!
