Monday Mischief – Nothing to Report

Where has all the mischief gone?

As you know I’m a dog who loves my mischef – I chew my humans’ glasses, run with muddy paws around the house, steal the laundry and hide dirty underwear where its not supposed to be. But there’s been so little mischief this past week that my humans suspect I’m planning something really  big.

What the humans haven’t caught up on is that I’m now 18 months old (and a bit) so I’m not actually a puppy anymore. I’m an adult dog and I’m spending all my energy planning what to teach my new little sisters and brothers when they’re big enough to listen. I hope one of them will set up their own blog so we can compare notes!

Meeting a Greater Swiss Girlie!

Yesterday I visited Richmond with my human pack and as I was running around chasing my ball I heard a human call out.

‘What breed is your dog?’. I didn’t take my eyes of the ball for a second – I’m so used to that question its not even worth my effort to greet every curious human we meet. As my humans gave the usual reply, I kept running with the ball in my mouth.

‘I have a Swiss Mountain Dog too – she’s in the car. Do you think they’d like to play?‘ The other human said, and that sure caught my attention. Another mountain dog? A girl? I quickly cleaned the mud off my face and ran to greet her.

Oh she was pretty alright.

Long skinny legs and a white tipped tail I could chase for hours.

She’s a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog and although her human said she’s small for a dog of that breed, she was a whole lot bigger than me! I tried to show her my swimming skills, but she seemed more the land type so we played a game of chase instead. I hope I can get to meet her again!
