My Big List of Super Durable Dog Toys
I’m a super energetic, bouncy young Entlebucher Mountain Dog and if there’s one thing I know, then its how to destroy a toy within five seconds. My humans have tried all sorts of fluffy stuffed toys, but they all get ripped apart and dissected by my razor sharp teeth within seconds! There are some toys that are different through, and here’s my list of dog toys that will last longer than the wrapping they came in:
Tuffys Toys – The World’s toughest dog toys
Tuffy’s Dog toys are not just really durable, but quite funky looking too. There are sheep, water creatures and donuts – and they are all made with several layers of fabric and extra seams to make them more difficult to destroy. Keep an eye out for their destructa scale – the higher the number, the more chewing resistance for us doggies! *Waggy tail*
Kong Toys – the King of Dog Toys
Kong toys really do last a long time. One of my absolute all time favourites are the Kong Wubba, it squeaks and you can play tug-o-war with it or just shake it about and squeak until the humans go crazy. Then there’s the traditional Kong toy that you stuff with treats (my favourite stuffing is banana and peanut butter). You can chew it forever and it never really breaks.
Rope Toys
Rope toys don’t look very exciting, but they are really quite tough and last a long time. And did you know that you can soak a rope toy in water, or chicken broth, freeze it over night and voila, you have just made a yummy treat for your doggie to enjoy in the sun. This is also a great trick for teething puppies. My favourite rope toy is a rope ball attached to a long rope – I like to shake it and whip it around my head!
West Paw
West Paw is a really cool and funky company that makes really durable, and fun looking dog toys. They bounce, float and you can chew them forever.
The Tail Wagging The Hol-ee Roller balls from the JW Pet Company
This is my all time favourite dog toy. Its a super tough rubber ball that never seems to break. I use it for tug-o-war games, fetch and sometimes my humans stuff it with a tea towel and hide little treats iside it for me to find.
