Wordless Wednesday – Too Many Photos! Help us Pick One

Might Need Some Help

Finally my human has come up with something sensible to do with all the photos she takes of me! She’s decided to enter the Kennel Club’s Dog Photographer of the year competition - how pawsome is that? She spent all day Sunday going through my photos and choosing her favourites for the category ‘Dog Portrait’ and I think she found some really good ones. The only problem is we’re only allowed to enter one photograph per category and now she can’t choose!

I told her since they’re all photos of me, how could there be any bad ones and she should just pick one, but did she listen? *waggy tail*

I think we might need your help – what do you think is the most important thing in a doggie portrait, and which photo should we enter?

4. Alfie looking demanding

5. Alfie looking anything but impressed (gimme that ball!)

6. Alfie surveying his grounds

7. Alfie posing by the water

8. Alfie Closeup landscape

That’s so hard! I’ve been entered into the puppy category and my human really struggled with which picture to send. She ended up submitting a ‘dogs at play’ one too. I think you should enter the number 3 in Dogs at Play category, and then either 5 or 7 in the portrait, it’s his expression that’s made me say that. A Toughie! Good Luck!

Oh, these are all great, but if I had to pick one, it would be #3. I think it shows Alfie playing in one of his elements doing what he loves to do.

They are all good but I especially like the one in the pond with a stick.

Rooo My favourite was the stick too, but what does a doggie know about photography? *waggy tail*

Oh dear dog…this is not easy. All of these photos are fabulous! To choose just one is like trying to eat just one potato chip!

I do like #3 since it is Alfie’s favorite thing to do but the expression in #8 is just so sweet and I love the close up.

Good luck choosing!
Your pal,
Oz

Mom and I vote for hiding in the grass or favorite pong. They are all great photos, my mom still has a lot of practicing to do – we have a ton of photos but not all of them are the best, your mom does a great job!

I think Alfie close up landscape, you captured his beauty….I think either capturing his beauty or personality is most important when judging a photo. The photo should make the viewer “feel something”

Rooo that is a really good point! Using that criteria should make it easier to pick a photo! *waggy tail*

Oh man, how to choose just one? As everyone else has said – they’re all great.

I looked at the winners and runner-ups from last year – wow.

I think if I have to narrow it down, I’d vote for #2. #6 and #8. (Although #s 4 and 5 are my personal favorites just for the attitude he’s sporting. ;)

Rooo Leslie – thanks so much for your feedback. It seems like number 8 is an overall favourite for the portrait category! I looked at the winners and runners up from last year too and they’re pawsome *Waggy tail*
