The C-a-t who tried to steal my birthday presents #MondayMischief

Rooo I had such a pawsome weekend. One of my humans had gone away to see his parents and that usually means that I get spoiled completely rotten by the other human.

Rooo it was brilliant – Friday was my birthday and I got a pawsome new ball and wabbit ears for chewing. I also got some fishy treats and a puzzle ball to hide them in. Then in the evening we watched an educational dog documentary called ‘Marley and Me’ on TV and I didn’t fall asleep for the entire movie.

But best of all – afterwards I was allowed to sleep in their big bed *Waggy tail*

One jealous cat

The next day I was quite sleepy and found a comfy, sunny spot in the living room where I could keep an eye on what’s happening on the street outside.  I might have dozed off just a little, but I was woken up by my human screaming from the bedroom.

She’d stumbled in on a cat who’d dared to sneak into their bedroom! All she had actually seen was the curtains moving and a long, fluffy tail disappearing in under the fabric but I immediately set to work and caught the cat’s scent. It was too late though – the cat had sneaked out in the garden and disappeared.

I quickly ran to check on my birthday presents – everyone knows how much cats *love* fish, and I was worried she might have stolen my treats. Luckily they were all safe. Either way, I think from now on I better sleep in their bedroom *every* night just to be sure I can catch the intruder when she comes back!

What do you think pups – was the cat after my fishy treats? *Waggy tail*

Oh yes, those cats are not to be trusted, especially when it comes to fishy treats! It’s a good thing you scared it away….and I think you definitely better sleep in the big bed and keep an eye on things from now on. Happy Belated Birthday….sounds like you had a good one with lots of nice presents!

I’m pretty sure it’s in the Cat Handbook that they MUST go after any fishy treats within smell-able distance, so there’s no doubt in my mind that that is what was going on! Good thing you were able to save the treats! Hope you had a great birthday!

    Wow Alfie

Lucky you were there to protect your Mum! That Cat must have known your Dad was away! Glad you scared her off!

Yep, you sure should do close up security from now on, from the bed, of course! :)

    Wags to all

    Your pal Snoopy :)
